After seven (07) editions of the "Internet Week" organized in Benin, the 2017 edition has been renamed " DIGITAL WEEK ", taking into account all the components of the economy digital technologies, namely Information and Communication Technologies, Regulation and the digital tool.

The DIGITAL WEEK or SENUM is an initiative that aims to highlight and develop the digital ecosystem in Benin. It is a week during which all the public and private actors of the ecosystem organize a series of activities that reveal the potential of Benin. As such, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Communication creates favorable conditions for the development of the sector, the promotion of local innovations.

The Government of Benin, at the session of the Council of Ministers of April 18, 2018, authorized the Ministry of Digital Economy and Communication to make the 2018 edition of the digital week, an international event bringing together actors from Benin, the West African sub-region and Africa. To this end, the Ministry of the Digital Economy and Communication solicited and obtained the support of the Alliance Smart Africa for the organization of this 2018 edition.
